Legends of Negro Leagues Baseball Come To Life in SUGARBALL | Rich Procter
Rich and Sasha dive into Negro Leagues baseball history and the stories of some of the greats; Satchel Paige, Cool Papa Bell, and Josh Gibson. Rich's new book is called SUGARBALL and it was inspired by the true events of 1937 when a Dominican Republic dictator hired several high-profile stars of Negro League Baseball to come play for his team in the Dominican Republic. When they arrived they found themselves in a country filled with fanatic crowds, and a political nightmare that went way beyond baseball.
Author Rich Procter was a member of the legendary "Groundlings" Improv group along with Phil Hartman and Paul Reubens. He is an author, a podcaster, and a former writer with Walt Disney Imagineering.
SUGARBALL is available now wherever books are sold.
