Thoroughly engaging
Both hosts are knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. Providing limited commentary about 40k and sticking to the narrative of the 30k Horus heresy books. The describe and discuss in detail the events of each book while explaining the wider implications this has on the current narrative of the wider war hammer storyline. Both hosts do play they games, but I really love that I feel these are real people, not sponsored stale war hammer podcasters/YouTubers. I can tell they are not getting free stuff from games workshop as they are honest with the game, the books each authors interpretation of the wider imperium. They go beyond just saying the simple and really dive into the books.
They take time with each book and character. And I find that I look forward to each episode. This feels like the war hammer book club I always wanted to have.
A good deep dive into the lore
Brandon is a filthy heretic and Waric is a lapdog of the false emperor but they have a good rapport and take the lore seriously. Worth a listen!
