I have loved Alcott’s writings since I was a child - checking out and reading every single book by her that I could find at my local library. But I had never thought that much about Alcott’s life until I began listening to Let Genius Burn. Jill and Jamie have taught me so much about her life and works through this podcast and caused me to want to research more on my own. I loved both seasons one and two and am very hopeful for a season three!

Love this podcast! Jill and Jamie are so knowledgeable about Louisa May Alcott’s life and writing as well as the time period she lived in. They blend scholarly and illuminating content with enthusiasm and passion, and they cover a wide range of topics. When I finish an episode, I feel as though I’ve just had an invigorating chat with friends!

Jill and Jamie have turned me into a Louisa May Alcott fan. Their dedication to the Louisa and her family is heartfelt and intelligent-and keeps me listening! So well written and well produced. Thank you both.

This podcast is everything I loved about college: beautiful prose, learning about fascinating people of history, and meaningful discussion. Loved the organization of each episode with a deep dive and then hearing Jill’s and Jamie’s perspectives. I’ve added many books to my to-read list. I learned so much from this podcast and can’t wait to learn even more. I look forward to what else Jill and Jamie have in store for us!

Let Genius Burn is a masterclass on the incredible life and work of Louisa May Alcott. I so enjoy listening to Jill and Jamie’s essays and ideas, but my favorite part is their conversations at the end. I feel like I am in the best Lit class and find myself wanting to contribute to the discussion! Can’t wait for Season 2!

I am thoroughly enjoying this podcast. Having been introduced to the life of Louisa May Alcott via The History Chicks podcast, and because I live near both Boston and Concord, I keep "running into" Alcott through my interests in women's lives and history in general. The hosts of this podcast have done a beautiful job of breaking down the episodes to help show off the many facets of this complicated woman, and have helped expand her legacy beyond being the author of Little Woman. I love the combination of the formal presentation followed by the conversation between the two hosts. Very relatable, though both hosts are experts immersed in the life, work and times of their subject.

The production is really good for this being your first podcast. I am two episodes in and I am obsessed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and intelligent discussions and observations in your episodes. What are your next podcast plans after this limited series ends?

Jill and Jamie do a fantastic job delving into Louisa’s life. The themes they explore are timeless and relatable to the creative female entrepreneurs of today.
