    Let’s Talk About… Expectations

    Let’s Talk About… Expectations

We often expect things to turn out exactly the way we want them to, and sometimes they will; however… sometimes we might found ourselves feeling disappointed, let down, frustrated or even angry because things don’t go the way we expect them to. Learning how to find the balance between being hopeful and not being completely attached to the outcome takes work, and that’s what I’m exploring this week. In this episode I talk about what expectations are, the difference between healthy and unhealthy expectations, and how to manage your expectations. So, let’s talk about mental health!

    Let's Talk About... Self Forgiveness

Self forgiveness can be quite challenging and confronting for many of us, especially when we start talking about the kind of hurt and pain that we carry around for years… but there is a point at which we need to let go and forgive ourselves for the things we’ve done (or not done) in the past otherwise we will find ourselves stuck. So this week I’m talking about what self forgiveness is, why it matters, and how to forgive yourself. So, let’s talk about mental health!

    Let's Talk About... Supporting Others

    Let's Talk About... Supporting Others

Providing support in a healthy way requires a balanced and mindful approach — giving support is part of most relationships, however it needs to be done in a way that doesn’t harm yourself or the other person… and that becomes even more complicated if you yourself are dealing with challenges like anxiety or depression, because that’s when you need to be extra-careful to ensure that you’re taking care of yourself and not giving in an unhealthy way. This week: what healthy support for others looks like, why being mindful about supporting others matters, and how to support other people in a healthy way. So, let’s talk about mental health!

Practical tips from someone who’s ~been~ through it

Really glad I found this podcast!
I love how he breaks down each episode to focus on all aspects of a specific issue. His episodes are not too long, easy to digest. Plus, he has a good sense of humor so his episodes are never dull. Highly recommend to anyone! (Especially now that we’re all going through something during this pandemic)
