“Rap Season October One”
“Rap Season October One” “Liberation 2” I would give this project a rating of 64% and a grade of a D. Solid album with great instrumentation, rooted in some elements of jazz but however I didn’t hear much growth from the prequel, “Liberation 1”. The beats are not that good sonically, although Talib delivers great lyrical content on every track, the beats just don’t align. Solid Album for a specific listener, this is not a classic and this album did not push Talib into the ranks of his peers that have mastered this style of consciousness. Nas, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar are the examples.
