Tea Above The Clouds
"...I’ll sit with that bowl of tea and look at those leaves and it will remind me of how life can be lived.” -Katrine Friis Olsen
We had the good fortune to discuss life, tea and zen with an airline pilot. Put on a kettle and join us!
Zen And Science Part 2
"Every day before I go to work I have a silent tea session. The idea behind this ritual is that it’s meant to remind me to be always making tea, to be focused, to be in that state of mind. And in that sense Zen and the practice of it is conducive to good science work" - Neil Barrie
Join us for the second part of the discussion between Wu De and particle physicist Neil Barrie on Zen and science.
Zen And Science part 1

"You come to realise that it is not the thing that you do that is important but rather the energy you put into it.”
- Frederik Wallin

Manifesting Simplicity: Zen And Tea Part 2
"The simplicity, in practice, in Zen is about living wholly and without reminder. It’s not an adding something onto it. It’s not doing one’s activities while in some superstate. It’s doing the activities wholly and completely with the whole of yourself unified, so you’re not thinking about your facebooks while chopping spring onions."
- Wu De
In this episode we explore the relationship between Zen, Tea and simplicity.
Thankful this is here!
I really feel like with this podcast Global Tea Hut comes full circle with different outlets for the different aspects of tea!
Having a podcast for the philosophical/zen side of tea was a great idea and now I feel like it’s easier to get these nice “wisdom talks” from my phone and I can listen to them whenever I go.
I also appreciate the guests on the podcast.
I’ve been able to stay at the hut a couple times and hearing both Wu De and old students voices and their stories is comforting, like meeting an old friend.
