Lift Heavy Run Long is a podcast where we look into the lives of runners, weightlifters, and hybrid athletes, so we can get a better understanding of what makes them successful. Our mission is to find inspiring guests and arm ourselves with the tools for happiness. Each episode will be centered around finding positive energy and seeking fulfillment. We want to learn how to maximize the benefits of fitness, as it pertains to our lives outside of the gym. The objective is to be informativel, yet lighthearted and fun.

We will be back in a couple of weeks and ready to get into a regular routine!
Lift Heavy Run Long® #190 in full force. He we go:
Von says do ditch social media altogether.
Amanda has no use for it.
Thirsty doesn't even has Facebook on his phone.
Wilson still enjoys it...kinda.
Garmin has been hit with ransomware and most of us think that Swanson is responsible. We discuss how we THINK it works and how it should be handled. We also talk about why things like Garmin and posting on social media is important.
As usual, we don't follow any real path but the conversation is always entertaining, light-hearted.
LHRL® #189 with Nugget Johnson
On the Lift Heavy Run Long® Podcast #189 we had our old friend Nugget Johnson. Nugget is back in the United States after spending some time as a radio DJ in Dubai. We wanted to sit down with Nugget and talk about....nothing in particular. That is why we like him so much. He is an interesting, funny, and engaging guy who makes us all laugh.
My favorite thing about the LHRL podcast is its lack of direction. I enjoy getting with friends to talk about whatever it is that we feel like discussing. I doubt that you will find this podcast any more or any less educational than the others but we hope that you find some enjoyment in it, nonetheless.

I've never left a review for anything on the internet, but I just had to this time. I found LHRL because I'm a longtime lifter and shorter-time runner. I was looking for some source that would help me balance the two since most people tend to tell you that you have to do one or the other. I found the LHRL facebook page and felt like it was exactly what I was looking for. Then, I realized that these people had a podcast and I was hooked. I love this podcast and I love listening on my runs. I laugh out loud multiple times per episode and I'm sure I look like a crazy person on the trails, but I don't even care! Wilson, Amanda, Von, and Brian feel like my own private running group once a week. Thanks for continuing to do what you do, guys! I also feel like I have to qualify that I don't know these folks outside of this podcast, but I feel like I do!
It's funny how every time I watch all of you, I'm talking back like I'm in the room with you. There hasn't been an episode that didn't make me laugh out loud or shaking my head at various comments. What you're doing is fantastic! It's obvious you love doing it. Love you all, and always know I support you 110%!
Your brother from another mother.
Better late than never
I am glad I found you guys. I have been doing CrossFit for the past 9 years and coaching for about 6 then one day I decided to sign up for an Ultra Marathon. I have been listening to a number of pod casts on my runs rather than music and one day found you guys. I love the banter and it nice to hear about balancing the lifting and the running. My race is this weekend and I plan on listening to you guys for a few miles along the way. Keep up what you do and it is good to know there are other Crossfitters that run these crazy things.
