The common bond that brought the Swamp Witches together originally was their love of horses & foxhunting but this group of women soon discovered they had many other similar outdoor interests. A couple of the witches grew up duck hunting and they organized a hunt for the group in 1999. That first day of duck hunting in the MS Delta will always stand out in Leighs mind
paddling out into the frozen swamp in the predawn darkness with her friends was magical. Her memory of the majesty of the swamp, the camaraderie between friends, & the excitement of shooting will never fade.
