Little Red Cap

Little Red Cap is a sweet girl who sets out to bring cake and wine to her sick grandmother. On the way, she meets a wolf who tricks her into wandering off the path to pick flowers. While she’s distracted, the wolf races ahead, swallows Grandma whole, and disguises himself in her bed. When Red arrives, she notices something strange but is eventually swallowed, too. Luckily, a huntsman passes by, cuts open the wolf, and saves both Grandma and Red. Together, they fill the wolf’s belly with stones, and he collapses, dead. Later, another wolf tries the same trick, but Red has learned her lesson. She refuses to leave the path and tells Grandma about the danger. Together, they keep the door locked and cleverly lure the wolf into drowning in a trough of sausage water. From then on, Red never strays from her path again, wiser and stronger after her brush with danger.
