Manfred brings the Cool!
I save these podcasts up so I can listen to them in bunches when I have long travel times in my car or on planes. They are never short on "a-ha!" moments or laughs. If you've always wanted to be a "fly on the wall" in the studio during the creation of your favorite songs by your favorite artists, this is as close as it comes. The dulcet tones of show host the Mighty Manfred (lead singer of garage-rock band The Woggles) makes you feel like he's sitting right beside you in your car with whoever his guest is. My personal favorite episode is with Cole Alexander from the Black Lips who expounded on the virtues of eating at Waffle House restaurants and how Manfred himself was a mighty influence on Cole when he was a young and impressionable wanna-be rock star. I encourage all music-lovers to tune-in and enjoy what I affectionately refer to as "Fireside Chats with Manfred", I'm sure you'll enjoy them as much as I do.
