Live at Paste Studio captures some of our favorite bands and musicians playing in an intimate studio setting at the Paste office in New York. Recorded live, our musical guests play three songs and discuss their latest works with host Brad Wagner.
The Ballroom Thieves
New England folk-pop trio The Ballroom Thieves released Unlovely, their third LP that touches on political themes as well as personal ones, in February. They visited the Paste Studio NYC on release day to share four new songs with us: "Homme Run," "Love Is Easy," "Pendulum" and "For Hitchens."
Georgia native Katie Pruitt released her sparkling, honest debut alt-country album Expectations in February, and she stopped by the Paste Studio in New York City a few days before its arrival to play four songs from the record: the title track, "Out Of The Blue," "Normal" and My Mind's A Ship (That's Going Down).
Portland retro pop singer/songwriter Alexandra Savior popped into the Paste HQ to perform songs from her 2020 sophomore album The Archer, out now via Danger Mouse's 30th Century Records.
Fans of the shapeshifting funk group Vulfpeck will recognize Theo Katzman, a regular member among the band's rotating cast of talented characters. He has three solo albums, including Modern Johnny Sings: Songs in the Age of Vibe, which arrived this year. Katzman dropped by the NYC studio this week to perform a few songs from that record—and jam the hell out.
Indie rock band Saint Motel, perhaps best known for their hit 2013 single "My Type," stopped by the Paste Studio in New York City back in February to play us some songs. They performed "Diane Mozart," "Sisters" and "Van Horn," all from a 2019 EP called The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: Pt. 1.
Anthony da Costa
Indie folkster Anthony da Costa will release his new album at the end of March 2020. Feet on the Dashboard will be the singer/songwriter's first new full-length release since 2017. In February, da Costa stopped by the Paste Studio in New York City to play the title track from the new album, plus a few other new songs.
