    Stephanie Markese and Ashley Jarocki of NextPath Career Partners sit down with Dr. Abby Hamilton this week to talk about speaking up in a professional environment. Dr. Abby is a Filipino-American industrial/organizational psychologist and speaker on assertiveness and culture. She is also the Director of Student Services at Everglades University in Tampa. She has educated and trained in leadership for over 20 years and spent the past 12 years coaching professionals to advance in their careers and the workplace. Dr. Abby is also the Principal Scientist at EQMatch focusing on emotional intelligence assessment and the Vice President of the National Association of Asian American Professionals – Tampa chapter.  Dr. Abby and her husband Mark have raised their three children: Taylor, Christopher, and Ryan in the Tampa Bay area, where they are leaders in the Filipino-American community.

    Emily received a Master’s Degree in Business and spent 15 years in the business world. Her personal path of self-discovery has drawn upon a deep love for astrology, neuroscience, psychology, and energy work all of which have assisted in her own embodiment journey and inspired her to combine spiritual tools and business principles in order to create a blueprint for greater energetic flow with the universe which she shares through one-on-one sessions and in group settings.

    The Force Behind The Ryan Callahan Foundation With Kyla Callahan

    Steph & Ash sit down with Kyla Callahan, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Ryan Callahan Foundation. She is amazing and started a non-profit from the ground up based on a passion.

    The Ryan Callahan Foundation brings unforgettable experiences and moments of family unity to pediatric cancer patients and their families.  A nonprofit which bears her husband’s name, Ryan Callahan former NHL player who was in the league for 17 years.  Their non-profit was officially established in 2016 but began working within the community on its mission two years earlier.

    After having two children of their own, Kyla and Ryan couldn’t imagine the hardships a family experiences while battling cancer. Since that time their family and foundation have evolved.

    Kyla and Ryan have three children Charlotte, 10, Evelyn,7, and Dominick, 4.  While being a full-time mom, Kyla runs the Tampa-based foundation now from their home base in Rochester, NY, which has recently expanded to New York State serving families being treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital.  The foundation’s programs are inclusive of financial assistance, family vacations, a health and wellness program, days of pampering for the entire family, and outings to professional sporting events but their hard work within the community doesn’t end with their “24 Club, Cally’s Crew, Cally’s Comforts, and their newly curated RISE program”.

    Although Kyla and her family have relocated to Rochester, NY she continues to fully operate the Ryan Callahan Foundation while developing further programming in Tampa, FL.

    Leadership & Legacy Of American’s Finest With Major General Clay Hutmacher

    Steph & Ash sit down with Clay Hutmacher, retired Major General and President & CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Clay became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in September 2018.

    He was a career United States Army Officer and retired in 2018 having served over 40 years in uniform. As an Army Special Operations Aviator, he commanded at every level during his three tours with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, where he served as the MH-60 Direct Action Penetrator platoon leader, company operations officer, executive officer and commander of 1st Battalion, Regimental Commander, and the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command.

    Major General Hutmacher’s last active-duty assignment was the Director of Operations in the U.S. Special Operation Command, Tampa, FL. His previous assignment was as the Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, NC.

    A native of Wenatchee, Washington, he was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval Command and Staff College, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
