Would you travel to another country for a major medical or dental procedure?
According to Patients Beyond Borders more than 25 million patients now travel abroad every year and that number now includes myself after my successful gum tissue graft with Cancun Dental Specialists.
Why? Instead of just empty promises of the "The Best Care" in the US. I chose to go to the best facility for dental tourism in Mexico. My doctor had trained the latest techniques in the US, spoke English, and created an amazing plan and executed it to perfection. All for a fraction of the cost ($1150 vs $8000 in the US). This doesn't include travel, but to get true world class care while recovering in paradise, even if I break even, it's well worth it.
Many people put their fear on me when I would mention going abroad to get care and that's okay. We often fear what we don't understand. Which I was I wanted to share my story, so that if you or someone you care about requires an intense and expensive procedure, there's now more options for great affordable care.
