She originally told this story at our live event called “un/pact: a creative dialogue on consent” on April 26, in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Although Rebecca typically writes absurdist fiction, here she takes us back to a couch during her college years and a bitter last encounter with a former partner that that forced her to reckon with power dynamics that can govern sex and consent.
