    00:30 - Introduction

11:40 - Seven years ago, almost to the date, is when I founded the company. Brian Bogert companies, if you will, which was just coaching and speaking at the time, there were no courses, there weren't group coaching, there wasn't any of these other ancillary businesses that are supporting our mission. But five years, I ran it side by side with another business. So I was in the risk management world and benefits consulting business for about 15 years, the last 10, of which my partners and I scaled the business from nothing to over 15 million in revenue in that period. It was great, and it was fun, but so much of that didn't align with who I was and who I was becoming.

20:00 - You are gonna burn out , I'm going to burn out my body, the body will fail. So we're sitting there holding it and we may start out thinking we're really strong and it's good, right? Yeah, but then the burning starts to happen, then the weight happens. Those weights get heavier and heavier and heavier, guess what, our armor is the same way. We put it there thinking it's protecting us. But it actually gets heavier, the longer we carry it and it starts to incrementally crush us over time. So that's the second thing that armor does to us, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

30:00 - I find myself being able to connect even deeper, the more I continue to evolve myself, there is no final destination only constant evolution itself. So what I can absolutely definitively say is that there was a massive shift, probably two years into my coaching business, because that's around the time that I really started to understand emotion a lot deeper.

39:00 -So the aha moment was probably six to seven years ago. My daughter was young. We were playing, we were laughing sounds and we lay down on the couch, and she wraps her arm around my neck, and she kisses me on the cheek. She says, I love you dada. I then broke down in tears of joy and I am not somebody that cries, but it's because I conditioned it out of myself. I want to be really clear, men who have the ability to cry and can express emotion, I think, is one of the most powerful moving things to be apart of. It's nothing that I believe carries any shame. It's just not how I have learned to feel emotion. But what's cool is I'm starting to learn how to feel that in that way, but when I felt joy that way, I realized I had never experienced joy to that capacity before....

    00:30 - Introduction

09:25 - I know a lot of people overthink it, and then because they overthink it, they end up really stalled with paralysis by analysis. So I've got to do this, go do that, I haven't got time for this. I'm gonna, you know, start next month and I think that's it is very simple and the thing that I think people want to do before anything, and I've been doing it since I was a junior bodybuilder, sort of 16-17 years old and I've been I'm 52 now. So I've been doing it for all my life pretty consistently, I'm a little bit of an anomaly. But I think for the average person that hasn't done that consistently for years and years and years, then really, the most important thing that you need to focus on is creating a habit, where you're gonna fit some kind of activity, or movement into your life. I've not actually met any people that have not been able to create a habit of cleaning their teeth, at least in the morning, and when they get up and before they go to bed in an evening.

20:30 - For whatever reason, everybody is obsessed, relationships break down for it, everything is really driven about people's desire for money, what they think money is going to give them.

31:00 - We've got a pretty decent process and we're predominantly business to business. So we work with a lot of gyms trainers, we we have a small part which is direct to consumer, but predominantly, it's going into clubs. Most of that gives us the ability to plan out a little bit further than people who kind of want to just purchase things immediately.

35:00 - I never thought I'd ever get into unofficially designing my own space. I mean, to be fair, actually, I love the fact you guys actually do design services, which is super cool.

40:00 - You got yoga combined with spinning, boxing, etc. So you got to think of how you're going to really differentiate yourself. There's a lot of ways that you...

I would say someone with a death wish, if we had a death wish we wouldn't wear gear. So at the end of the day, I tell people that it's more dangerous to drive a car down the road than it is to jump out of an airplane. I have literally two parachutes in my system for a reason, because I enjoy my life. I'm going to the fullest possible edges of my limitations myself and want to see how far I can really stretch beyond that. So that's why I do it.

20:00 - As I got older, I totally knew this is not where I really want to go, I didn't feel fulfilled in the sport. The world of bull riding came knocking through contacts that I had made. It enticed me and it pulled me in and I found a new side of me being ignited that I had been waiting to meet all along. Burned Bridges Lead To Better Roads:
Shari Sanahi is the author of the book, “Burned Bridges Leads To Better Roads: A Survivor’s Method To Risk-Taking Through Radical Change.”

Shari is a first-generation Guyanese-American author born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She has spent most of her life teaching others about Guyana’s location and culture to those who cross her path. Guyana, a country located in South America, is comprised of 6 different races: Indigenous, East Indian, African, Portuguese, European and Chinese.

She was published in the zine from New Zealand titled “Phantom Billstickers, which can be purchased on Amazon.

    Shari's Bio Continued:

Shari obtained a B.A. in Biology from Stockton University in 2011. In 2008, she took on an immense love for boxing and padwork training. In 2012, Shari began her training at Commando Krav Maga and Diamond Mixed Martial Arts Academy, a Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and Jiu-Jitsu studio located in Philadelphia.
When she moved to Los Angeles, she later became a boxing instructor at Title Boxing. Before taking an initial cross country road trip which she completed in 3 days, Shari obtained her 200-hour Power Yoga certification from Grace and Glory Yoga, located in New Jersey, in 2017.

After getting an initial taste of Los Angeles, she fell so in-love with the city that she decided to take a one-way-flight with no set place to stay to truly find her way after taking a break for one month. This journey had to be undertaken to complete her first book, which would lay the groundwork and foundation she had been searching for all of her life. Trauma and a difficult upbringing created a pretty unsteady foundation. Her recently published book creates a road map that got her onto better roads, and she hopes to help people from all walks of life walk on better roads as a result of reading her book.

Along with yoga and boxing, she was able to complete two 10-day Vipassana meditation retreats at S.N. Goenka’s meditation center in Shelburne Falls, MA. These modalities helped her to understand the importance of discipline that helped to create this book, and also were modalities which helped her to heal emotionally and physically.

    00:30 - Introduction

06:15 - I worked for three years for somebody, but I knew from day one that I wanted to be self-employed. So I was working inside a franchise company and I became like a very high paid salesperson very quickly, I figured out like, you know, relationship and you know, how to be you know, drive result because I was, again always into goals and, you know, discipline and self-motivation.

10:55 - Now, there's the book theory of running a business and then there's real world. The example I always give is, look, I can tell you what it's like to ride a bike, since you're a cyclist, right? I can tell you what you're going to do mechanically. But until you sit on a bike and feel what it feels like to balance a bike underneath you, you can't really understand what it feels like to ride a bike.

20:25 - I will first backup to say. If I stopped growing, how can I be one of America's top consultants? That's ridiculous. So yeah, I reached the pinnacle of what I do as a franchise consultant years ago, but my friends are like, no moss grows on your drink. So I'm gonna say I peaked at 40 and then I never dared take a chance or do anything different?! So no, what I did was, I wasn't able to then turn to mentors inside my industry. But I found mentors outside of my industry, I found people who were creating wealth, in ways different than what I was using, real estate syndication, using infinite banking policies, using storage, using real tangible assets, I found somebody that had personal net worth of $100 million.

30:00 - We all have the internal power to create that WHY for ourselves. That's what fuels every single thing. My WHY isn't money, my WHY is influence, my WHY is helping people I see. The satisfaction for me, isn't taking somebody from I have the dream to leave corporate America, or I have the dream to own a business. But I don't know how to make it come true and taking them through a one to two month process to where I'm happily marrying them off to their franchisor.

40:25 - In a lot of businesses, the franchisor doesn't want the investor to invest in the land up front, save your cash, put it into the business, make sure this is a business you're going to enjoy. Make sure you have enough cash flow to get the business up and positively, you know, cash flowing, and then maybe look to buy out your landlord over time. Automotive is like a great industry for that for people that ultimately want to own the real estate.

    00:30 - Introduction

11:00 - The absolute most all encompassing aspect of that is the light that we're under. So if it's not totally dark, when you're sleeping, your body knows. Our bodies, even if you're covering your eyes, your body can tell that the light is there, because every single cell in our body is being programmed by that light. So I've done all these things and then like drinking a Red Bull before you go to bed, right?

21:50 - One of the things I was learning was the importance of being in the sun for making vitamin D. I knew you couldn't make vitamin D in the winter and a lot of places, but I'd never thought much about it beyond that. I gave my kids a supplement, because the pediatrician told me to and that was kind of it. So I downloaded the D minder app, which tells you where the sun is in the sky, and it geo locates you and tells you how much vitamin D you can make on that day, depending on where you are.

32:15 - I love it. That's beautiful, Scott, and that's exactly it, right? It goes back to what we were saying before. You can take really good care of yourself. But then if you go to bed in a pile of asbestos, everything you've done that day is not going to save you right. So it's if not taking care of our light is like I would say as toxic as sleeping in a pile of asbestos.

40:45 - You do want to be getting some blue light during the day. That's the reason the darker the lenses, the more blue light is being blocked. There is no blue light in nature after sunset. There is blue light present in nature, during the day, especially around high noon. However, the natural light that you get from the sun, while it contains some of the blue spectrum, you never get just the blue on its own. It's always balanced out with some orange and some yellow and some red. I mean, it's the Sci Fi like it's not blue. So high noon, when you when it's like that really bright, intense light, that's when you have the most blue light present and the least red and then sunrise and sunset. Obviously, it flips around and the blue almost disappears. So if you were nighttime blue blockers during the day, you're still messing up your circadian rhythm. Because...
