    The Power of Gratitude

    The Power of Gratitude

    Episode #205

    The Power of Gratitude
Julie Boyer joins me today to share how she has tapped into the power of gratitude. Not only do we cover the power of gratitude and the importance of a gratitude practice, but also how gratitude and manifesting go hand in hand. If you haven’t yet, I invite you to start your own gratitude practice.
    Gratitude journal
I first learned about gratitude when I watched Oprah in elementary school. Oprah used to share the power of having a gratitude journal. Since that day, I lay in bed every night and think of at least five things from that day for which I am grateful. It can be the sun shining, a call from a friend, a bed to sleep in – anything that brings me joy.
By implementing a daily practice of gratitude such as being grateful for another day, it brings more to you. For most people in established countries things like fresh drinking water, a car to drive, food to eat and a house to live in are things that are taken for granted. What if instead, you started each day with pure joy and appreciation for every single thing you have and are able to experience?!
    Practicing as if
Julie has been able to use the power of gratitude to attract desires into her life. She shares that writing something in the present tense – as if you already have it, brings that desire to you. She’s done this for years and was even able to attract her ideal husband by being clear and concise and acting as if she already had it.
    Gratitude through tragedy
Although it may seem difficult, Julie has been able to find gratitude even through tragedy. Julie had previous miscarriages and although she wasn’t grateful for the experience, she found gratitude for the medical staff, the healing of her body and the safety of her daughter. Finding gratitude through tragedy can bring hope and healing.
    Daily practice
In summary, choose to wake up with gratitude every single day. Make this a ritual in your morning routine. Maybe you’re even grateful for today’s technology, or that you’re reading this blog or able to listen to the podcast. The power of gratitude is at your fingertips if you choose to express it.

    Ditch Your Doubt

    Ditch Your Doubt

    Episode #204
    Ditch Your Doubt
Have you ever felt unworthy or not enough? You’re not alone. It’s time to ditch your doubt and rewrite your beliefs. Your thoughts create emotions and the same thought repeated becomes your beliefs. I want to know, are your beliefs empowering or limiting you?
The lesson is in the trigger
I have a daily flip calendar from Louise Hay with an empowering affirmation. A recent one read, “I am neither too little nor too much. I don’t have to prove myself to anyone. I am just fine as I am.” This hit a big nerve for me and triggered some of my past limiting beliefs.
My old stories on repeat were: “I’m too much to handle. I’m not enough.” Anytime a new relationship would come into my space, feelings of insecurity and self-doubt would ultimately lead to self sabotage. I hated the vicious cycle. Where do these kind of limiting beliefs stem from?
    Change your perspective
Healing your inner child is a necessary evil if you want to pull the weeds and plant new seeds. It’s work and it can be uncomfortable. But, what’s worse? Staying stuck and believing your negative thought patterns? Or, doing the work and coming out with a new perspective and feeling alive?
    You are enough
So many people get stuck seeking external validation. I’m here to tell you you ARE enough. You just have to believe it. You are capable. You are worthy. You are amazing. Today is your day. Now is the time to step up into who you are and ditch your doubt.

    Lessons From a Millennial Therapist

    Lessons From a Millennial Therapist

    Episode #203

    Lessons From a Millennial Therapist
Tess Brigham joined me to share her lessons as a millennial therapist. Before we got started, I asked Tess to clarify the difference between a therapist and a coach. She explained that therapy is about the past where coaching is about the future. Coaching helps you get from where you are today – to where you want to go.
    Internet influence
As a millennial therapist, Tess shared that millennials were the first generation to be highly influenced by the internet and social media. Although the internet has provided so many benefits, there has also been a lot of pressure for millennials to always be on and constantly comparing.
Not only have millennials gotten caught up in comparing, they’re now conditioned to seek external validation. Rather than validating self, they seek approval via likes. This really hit home as I am a millennial and have experienced this myself.
    Inner resilience
What I love about Tess is her ability to offer clients the chance to shine from within. We all have access to inner resilience and strength, it’s just whether or not we tap into it. Something else Tess shares is the importance of doing a success review. How often do you allow yourself to sit down and think, wow, I accomplished something?

    How to Avoid Temptation

    How to Avoid Temptation

    Episode #202
    How to Avoid Temptation
As we’re still in early January, many of you may be focused on your big hairy audacious goals for 2020. Today I’m sharing with you how to avoid temptation so you actually reach those goals. Did you set out to lose weight, make more money, get into a relationship, start a business or finally travel to your bucket list destination?
    Stop contradicting yourself
The reason so many people fall short of reaching their goals is temptation. If you tell the Universe you want something (a committed relationship) yet you’re giving into short term flings to avoid loneliness, you’re confusing the Universe. You can’t say one thing and do another and expect results.
    Be aligned with your goal
Are you willing to say no to temptation to satisfy a craving if it’s not in alignment with your long term goal? Your current results can provide you with the answer. Another big hang up – if you don’t have a strong WHY for the thing you want, you’ll always cave into excuses and never have results.
    You get to choose
The choices you’re making and the habits you have will either set you up for success or keep you in a vicious cycle of sabotage. Is 2020 your year? Are you really willing to go all in?

    The Greatest Truth

    The Greatest Truth

    Episode #201

    The Greatest Truth
Shari Kuster joins me for episode #201 – The Greatest Truth. Spoiler alert: the greatest truth can be found within if you give yourself the time and space to meditate and quiet the chatter.
    Meditation is a practice
Meditation is something that is talked about a lot in spirituality and it’s becoming a lot more mainstream even at personal development seminars. The key with meditation – it’s a practice, a gift you give yourself. It’s not something you can do one time and benefit from, although you may.
    Stop seeking outside of you
A message Shari’s shares is from The Wizard of Oz and that is, whatever you’re seeking is already within you – you’ve had it all along. That really hit me. So many of us are seeking answers externally. If you keep doing that you’ll be seeking for a long time and chasing all of the wrong things.
The most valuable resource, even greater than gold or diamonds is that source within you that can be accessed via meditation. Although meditation isn’t the only way, it’s something we all have access to that doesn’t cost anything other than time and discipline.
    You get to choose
A powerful question Shari asked is, “Make a choice – do you want to stay where you are or do you want to change?” As we’ve just begun 2020, many people are seeking change. I invite you to give yourself an opportunity for great insight and the change you’ve been seeking by venturing into a meditation practice.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to sit on a pillow in lotus position for an hour. Just sit comfortably and close your eyes, even if only for one minute. Start there and build up. Shari shared that it took her years of sitting for four minutes before one time she sat for 45-minutes and the experience she had was so juicy she kept coming back for more.
All you have to do is ask
The last thing I’ll share in this post is to ask for what was already given to you. I love the analogy that Shari expressed which is that we were all given our very own warehouse full of our desires. You’re not taking from someone else by accessing what’s yours. So, simply ask, you already have the key.

    What’s Your Word for 2020?

    What’s Your Word for 2020?

    Episode #200
    What’s Your Word for 2020?
New Year, New You? Nah, me neither. But I do want to know, what’s your word for 2020? I’ve never been too into resolutions, however I do like the idea of setting an intention – a word, and making that a theme for the new year. I invite you to do the same.
    Be intentional
I’ve decided for 2020 that my word is going to be alignment. What does that mean exactly? For me, it means being in flow. Not forcing, not grinding, but allowing by following intuitive nudges. Doing things that feel right. If it’s not in alignment with my goals, it’s not for me.
    Create a road map
I don’t set new years resolutions mainly because I don’t need to wait until January 1st to make a change, but also because I’ve seen most people fail by setting big hairy audacious goals and have no road map to get there. Instead, I set goals and I reverse engineer how to get there. It’s about daily, consistent, action.
    One word
For 2020, what’s your word? Do you want to be more compassionate? Maybe more adventurous? Take risks? What is it?! I’d love to hear from you and cheer you on along the way.
