    5 Elements of Mindfulness

    Join Mary as she kicks off this month's topic of MINDFULNESS. Did you know that you have creative agency over your life? You have a say so in how your life plays out. You can’t create anything good in your life without becoming aware of how you got to where you are right now. We need to bring awareness to where we are in the present moment without judgement. Mindfulness takes the focus off of the external world and places our focus on our internal. This is key because everything that is happening outside of us first starts internally by our thinking. 95% of our thoughts are unconscious. When we choose to become aware of these thoughts we can take our power back and begin to change our external world and our future. Then when we can investigate what we are longing for without judgement, but instead with curiosity, we can pinpoint the limiting views of what is possible for our lives.The opportunity to become mindful is available to us all day everyday. No matter where we are, or what we are doing, we can begin to cultivate a practice of mindfulness that can alter the trajectory of our lives.

    Join Mary and her special guest Kairah James. Kairah is a Body Confidence and Health Coach. Her mission is to empower women to feel confident in their bodies through mindset, nutrition, and fitness. She discovered her passion for coaching while in university. Though she had always dreamed of becoming a doctor, halfway through completing her degree in Health Sciences she realized that wasn’t the path for her. With no idea what she was going to do with her degree, she found herself at the gym where she worked with a trainer who helped her see what she was truly capable of. That experience had such a profound impact on her life, which is when she knew she was dedicated to helping other women unleash their full potential. Listen as Mary and Kairah talk about the intersection of mindset and body confidence.

    Loving Your Body Through Cancer with Natalie Wilson

    Join Mary and her special guest Natalie Wilson. Natalie Wilson, is the creator of High Heal Diaries. Mother of three, wife, business-woman, and a three-time breast cancer survivor. Natalie has had an extensive and ever-changing career as an interior decorator/home stager, makeup artist, licensed paralegal, model, certified coach practitioner, and author. After losing her younger sister to gun violence in 2003, a baby at 4 months gestation, being diagnosed with focal invasive ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in 2008, and undergoing a bilateral mastectomy - she wasn’t sure if she could withstand any more pain. After two more recurrences of breast cancer in 2016, she realized that her pain and struggle must not have been in vain. Natalie miraculously made her way through the stages of emotional healing, and instinctively knew she must be a voice for others fighting this horrible disease, as well as those dealing with other emotional turmoil and struggle. Listen as Mary and Natalie chat about how your body is just your shell and is really the least interesting thing about you.

    Join Mary as she kicks off this month’s topic of Body Confidence! Despite what culture tells us, most people will tell you the thing they find the most attractive about a woman is confidence. Confidence can often feel elusive. Either you have it, or you don’t. But true confidence comes when you walk in the knowledge that you are lovable. That even in your flaws you are enough. No matter what you look like, how you age, how your body changes, you are loved. Feeling confident in this means that you know that your lovability isn’t ever on the line. Confidence is knowing that you are unconditionally loved. For most of us, coming to this place is a journey. It is a journey that has nothing to do with your body and has everything to do with your mind. The good news is that this kind of confidence can be learned! Once you learn it, everything in your life will work for the better. But it takes practice. When you move forward even when you are scared to be seen, you will begin to flex your confidence muscle. Little by little you will come into your power more. You will know that you can show up, even with all your flaws, and know that you are fully loved.

    How to Express and Fulfill Your Purpose

    Join Mary as she wraps up this month by talking about creating a blueprint to help you fulfill your purpose. We were all  uniquely created for a reason. Once we understand who we are at our core, it is much easier to craft the life we were meant to live. This allows us to show up for our purpose. It frees us from comparing our purpose to others. It frees us from allowing others to tell us who we should be. It allows us to see the value in who we are and the gift we have to offer the world. We have to believe that no one person’s purpose holds more weight or value than someone else’s. Each of our individual purposes, though different, are of equal value and are deeply needed. When we have this deep understanding of our purpose we can create a blueprint to help keep us on track and focused on our mission in this world. As we grow and change our blueprint will move and grow with us. We can stop and evaluate our blueprint at any time and make any adjustments needed. What we value in our lives will stand the test of time and show up in our blueprint in every season of life. When you are in your purpose and no one else’s there will be an ease, a flow, and a joy that can only be found when you are living and doing what you were created to do.

Life changing thank you Mary!

Mary was a guest on another podcast that I was listening to a few months back and I loved the topic so much that I just had to give her own podcast a listen. I’m so glad that I did because her words and insights have definitely made a profound impact on my own personal healing and self growth. I often find myself laughing, crying and having “oh wow yes!” moments while tuning in. I work through her journal prompts and have incorporated at lot of her podcast’s “nuggets” into my daily life.

Mary is so authentic and relatable which is what really makes this podcast stand out. If your working through internal struggles such as self worth and recovering from chronic stress and panic attacks, like myself, or if your just looking for a fresh perspective on life then definitely give her a listen!
