Veege is the Southern Regional Representative for the Oregon Midwifery Council.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in Women's Reproductive Lives: Biology, Evolution, and Culture from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.. Veege has participated in protests against timber sales, worked with homeless youth, baked bread to deliver to homeless and home bound people, traveled to Guatemala to do a community service project and was previously on the board of directors at the Peace House. Veege loves to garden, see live music, spend time with her kids, cats, and boyfriend.

Veege is passionate about women's reproductive choices and has devoted her life to respectful care to women during childbirth. She would love to talk about the midwifery model of care, normal birth physiology, and how evolutionary perspectives can inform policy around safe care to women during birth.
