Heidi Alldredge
wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, care giver, realtor, motivational speaker, teacher, hot chocolate bomb maker, and podcaster! (Heidi is still deciding what she wants to be when she grows up!) Heidi has been married since 1992 to Christopher, the love of her life. She has 3 children (age ranging from 21 to 28—two of her children are married now) And has hosted 6 foreign exchange students -whom she now claims as her own children. She loves spending Friday nights (or any other time) with her grand-babies. Other hours of the day she is recording great inspiring interviews for her podcast, searching online for inspirational quotes, shopping for bargains, traveling with her family, lunch dates with friends, serving and helping others, going to concerts, and writing-either in her journal, notes to friends, or her own motivational speeches! Heidi is a recovering “why-me-er” and is currently learning the art of positive thinking!
When Heidi was 16 years old, the police knocked on the door, just two days after Thanksgiving, to inform the family that her dad had just taken his own life. There are two decisions she felt she could make in that moment: Feel pain, misery and self pity or feel hopeful, peaceful and encouraging. Up until that point Heidi was entertaining her own suicidal thoughts, but with the support of great friends, strong family, and understanding therapy she is here today to deliver this important message: Life is what you make it!! Heidi is a former radio talk show host for "The LemonAid Stand" where she interviewed people who have taken life's lemons and made lemonade. It was personal stories of triumph over tragedy, how they made the world better, and what they want to change in their family, home, or community, because of what they went through! Now she spends her days interviewing people on "Heidi's LemonAid Stand Podcast"! The podcast is inspiring, uplifting and encouraging to all ages of listeners. Heidi also teaches "Habits of Happiness" at various organizations. The "Habits of Happiness" is a fun interactive, educational, and empowering class. Some of the 21 Habits that it includes are: forgiveness, love, gratitude, and finding the gift in all situations. Now Heidi is a sought after motivational speaker. She enjoys talking about finding real joy, peace, and love no matter what you are dealing with in life. As you listen to Heidi share stories, give great do-able tips, and have a little fun, you will go away with a new hope and outlook about life! Heidi is truly living how to 'take lemons and make lemonaide'!
