The 2023-24 Boston Bruins have exceeded all expectations. It's not surprising to see the goaltending tandem of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman continue to thrive, nor is it a shock to see David Pastrnak dominating offensively.
The team's center depth, however, has been something we didn't see coming, and low key signings like James van Riemsdyk and Danton Heinen have really paid off.
Jake DeBrusk, Morgan Geekie, and Hampus Lindholm could have more to give, and Milan Lucic's reunion tour turned out to be the biggest disappointment.
Altogether, this team is still pretty good!

The Boston Bruins shook off a 3-game losing streak by shutting out the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.
Danton Heinen scored the eventual game winner and showed great poise on a new look second line. He earned first star honors and was similarly lauded by head coach Jim Montgomery and captain Brad Marchand.
Jeremy Swayman's 26 saves earned him 2nd star, while Trent Frederic's grit was good for 3rd.

The 2023-24 Boston Bruins probably aren't a first place team, but they're also not as bad as they looked in a recent loss to the last-place Columbus Blue Jackets.
