Dejounte Murray's Career-High (44) Elevates Atlanta Hawks Past 'Unlucky' Boston Celtics In OT, 123-122
In yet another game for the ages and against all odds, the Atlanta Hawks dethroned the team with the best record in the NBA, the Boston Celtics, this time in overtime led by Dejounte Murray's career-high 44 points. Battling back and forth for the duration of the game, Atlanta out-rebounded & outscored Boston in the paint despite a size disadvantage and minimized its turnovers.
Perhaps the difference on Thursday evening very well may have been the improved defensive intensity and the various key components that do not always show up on the stat sheet... effort, second chance points, rebounding, 50/50 balls and hustle points. In addition to Murray's impressive performance, Deandre Hunter chipped in 21 points & 13 rebounds on 50%FG shooting and Bogdan Bogdanovic tallied 24 points. -

POSTCAST: Atlanta Hawks Get Revenge, Avoid Trap Game Versus Portland Trail Blazers, 120-106
The Atlanta Hawks avoid an upset (and trap game) in lieu of getting revenge versus the Portland Trail Blazers in solid fashion at home in State Farm Arena on Wednesday evening, 120-106. The Hawks' bench gave a significant boost led by Dylan Windler (11 points) and Garrison Mathews (21 points).
Atlanta Hawks forward Clint Capela tallied his 10th double-double in the current calendar month (most in the eastern conference) but most impressively, 4 steals. The league leader in steals this month, Dejounte Murray, led team scorers with 30 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in preparation for Thursday's rematch versus the Boston Celtics. -

Brad Rowland hosts Episode 1681 to break down the craziest win of the 2023-24 season for the Atlanta Hawks.

POSTCAST: Atlanta Hawks, Once Down 30, Channel Inner Belief To Expose Boston Celtics, 120-118
The Atlanta Hawks put together a historical run for the ages, a second half comeback that led to a home victory after trailing one of the best teams in the league by 30 points. On display, the ultimate team win led by contributions from everyone on the roster.
It appeared that the Boston Celtics would effortlessly cruise to an easy win on Monday evening but not before countless converted shots from distance would put ATL within reach in which they'd soon never look back.

Has onyeka taken the leap we all expected this season?
Brad is great
Big fan and longtime listener of the pod. Love the content Brad brings every night - very informative and provides really good insight into the team and how they’re playing. Really not a fan of the new postcast episodes being uploaded though. Unsure why episodes with worse analysis and commentary for the exact same games is being uploaded when Brad has been doing a good job for so long.
Brad Rowland is a god
Brad does a very good job covering the hawks in depth and has very good guests on the podcast. I also listen to battery power (if you’re a braves fan it’s the best podcast available) and I really could listen to him talk about anything sports related and be elated to hear what he has to say. I do have a question for a mailbag episode: do you ever see the hawks potentially leaving Atlanta for another market? I ask this because I feel that people in Atlanta are not very invested in this current team and haven’t been probably since 2021 and before that 2014-2015. With Tony ressler I could potentially see it happening but I just want to see your thoughts on this topic. You know more than the average fan about stuff going on internally so you would be a good person to ask. Once again great podcast and Brad always deserves a listen wherever he posts!
