Long Island’s Future with Matt Cohen Long Island Association

Our business community continues to face pressures including high prices, supply chain, and hiring challenge. Matt talks with Jason Bram, Economic Research Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York about some recent data and insights on the Long Island economy.

Long Island has one of the strongest K-12 educational systems in the country, which is a critical foundation to our future economy. Matt talks with New York State Department of Education Regent representing Long Island Roger Tilles for an update on our educational system and Dr. Shari Camhi, the Superintendent of the Baldwin School District, about innovative programs to prepare students for the workforce.

Long Island is already realizing the economic benefits of a brand-new industry for our region – offshore wind. Learn more about planned projects off our coast and how it positively impacts Long Island from Ørsted, Equinor, the Long Island Federation of Labor AFL-CIO, and the Haugland Group. 

Child care is a not only a family issue, but it is also a business issue and is critical to our economy.
