Wisdom for Strong Marriage after Children with Rabbi David Lyon of Congregation Beth Israel

Wisdom for Strong Marriage after Children with Rabbi David Lyon of Congregation Beth Israel

When my husband and I got married, we received three pre-marital counseling sessions from one of the Rabbi's who married us. After we had our first daughter, I always wondered what it would be like to go in for the "update": how do we take all the great guidance we receive before marriage and put it to use after kids are in the picture? In this episode, I finally get to ask all the questions I've had to Rabbi David Lyon of Congregation Beth Israel. His insight is like a warm blanket for the soul, and whether you have children or are just newly quarantined with your spouse, I think you'll find something really useful in what he has to say.

The best answer you've ever heard to the Stay-at-home vs. Working Mom debate

The best answer you've ever heard to the Stay-at-home vs. Working Mom debate

I hate admitting it, but the question of whether to work or stay at home once I became a mother plagued me not just once, but after each one of my children were born. Each postpartum period, I fell victim to the ruthless debates that ensue over the subject and likely tortured myself a little over my "choice." Randi's take on this subject is the best one I've ever heard, and I hope it sets you free a little bit if this is something you've had difficulty with.

Candid and Charming!

Laura is intelligent, charming, honest, open and warm. I’ve had the privilege of being her friend for a decade now and listening to this podcast is just like a having a fantastic conservation with her over sushi with the added bonus of an equally captivating guest. Laura sets the tone of non judgement with an openness to learning that is so important in this day and age. I haven’t reached motherhood personally but still have learned so much about myself, my body and what motherhood has in store. Everyone can take something from this fantastic podcast! I look forward to more episodes!!
