    Amazon's New World

Loreseekers – Sometimes things come out of nowhere and pleasantly surprise you. As long-time MMO players, even when you’re entrenched in one game (some may call it addicted lol), you’re constantly on the lookout for new experiences. What’s the latest in game development? Where is the genre going? Will the genre survive? It’s never because we like one game over another, its usually because as MMO players, we have an innate drive to see this genre of gaming survive and thrive.

Recently, Amazon’s New World Beta caught our eye and it has intrigued us greatly. In all honesty, we had the opportunity to get some gifted keys for the latest Closed Beta test and we took advantage of it just to check the game out. Well, from what we were able to see, we were impressed. There were many aspects of the game we felt were worthy of at least experiencing the launch of the game and sharing our experiences.

We know this will come as a surprise to many of you, given we’d recently taken a break from our time in Elder Scrolls Online and subsequently returned. Make no mistake, we love ESO and its community. But as content creators, sometimes a fresh eye on something new and shiny is good for sparking the creative spirit. In addition, you can’t deny the excitement that surrounds the launch of a new game – especially since we personally haven’t experienced a new MMO launch since Star Wars the Old Republic. So we’re going for it.

If you’re interested in following, you can follow our NewWorld launch experiences on Twitter and Instagram @LoreseekersCast. If you’re interested in learning more about the game, you can find it HERE.

    Safe Travels, Friends,

Enjoyable, chill podcast!

I love ESO, and I love the Loreseekers. I've been making my way through every episode and it's the perfect accompaniment when driving somewhere or walking my dogs. Jibbs and Kash are funny dudes that have great chemistry and their conversations flow well. Their episodes cover all kinds of aspects of the game, and for me personally, the lore lessons are always the highlight. I do wish that their lore discussions would take up more than 15 or so minutes of time within their hour to hour-and-a-half episodes. I love the subtle sprinklings of role playing and how they involve Tamriels's racial euphemisms throughout their content—Kash will randomly start speaking like a Khajiit or Argonian and I love every moment of it. More RP aspects would not be a bad thing at all. They order in-game drinks (drinks your character can literally craft in-game) and they park themselves in various taverns throughout the game world. I love learning about the lore in ESO's dungeons since 99% of the time you're in a pug group and you have no idea what's going on because you're being rushed through it as quickly as possible. I can rely on the Loreseekers to fill in those gaps of knowledge and understanding. There's so much I could say, but all-in-all their podcast is chill, enjoyable, comfy, and easy to do digest. It'll be a sad day when I finally reach their last episode.
