About this Episode:
Dr. MayKao Y. Hang (Hon), Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, and Founding Dean, Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas, has extensive experience working in the public and nonprofit sectors. She was able to share some wise lessons on living life with purpose. Below are some of her perspectives:

- People who chase purpose know their time on earth is limited; they know they have one chance to live their best life possible.

- People want to feel important and significant; they want to be seen as unique and worthy beings.

- When we show up as our authentic self, it inspires people to also do the same. Make sure to feed our soul with nutritious people who will lift us up to a higher level and encourage us to always be our best.

- Purpose is about being in community with others; we cannot find it by sitting in a room by ourselves. It requires action by connecting with others based on shared values.

- Effective leaders are able to see themselves as others do. They have an accurate understanding of how they’re presenting to the world because they’re in congruence from the inside out.
