Great show, bad audio

The show has excellent guests and discussions about horror, science fiction, and adjacent pop culture.

They need to clean up the audio. Guests and panel can sound terrible and are frequently dropped.

Superb Lovecraft-horror-pulp literary salon

Matthew Carpenter, Mike Davis, Rick Lai, Peter Rawlik, Kelly Young and all kinds of interesting guests make this show really interesting and fun. They know a lot, keep in touch with the world of weird fiction and beyond, and are all very good writers themselves. The show is both serious and extremely funny. If you are interested in horror fiction in general and Lovecraftiana especially, try out this podcast. If you like it you'll find yourself wanting to listen compulsively. At this point there is a large number of shows, each of them substantial with spoiler-free insights into writing, films, and art in the field, leaving you with lists of books, films, and events to look up and pursue. Highly recommended.

Came for the Lovecraft, stayed for the other stuff

A great show with a solid cast of regulars and guests who are weird fiction/horror writers, editors and artists. The podcast is rarely strictly about Lovecraft - that alone can’t support a long running podcast. Their discussions can range far and wide, covering horror films, comic books, Stephen King and so on, but always rooted in a sense of cosmic horror. I rarely finish an episode without something to add to my to-read stack.
