The Lucerne Community Church Sermon Podcast is a broadcasting of our regular Sunday worship service. The primary focus for this podcast is to allow people who missed a Sunday an easy way to catch up. The secondary focus is to allow people interested in visiting an opportunity to sample what the sermons sound like. But, if you are neither of those categories but still benefiting from listening, drop us a line at our website. We'd love to hear from you. https://lucernechurch.com/about-us/contact-us/
Our Thanksgiving Is in the Lord
Paul encourages the believers in Colossae to devote themselves to prayer and to stay alert it in with thanksgiving. Listen as we overview the book of Colossians and remind ourselves in whom our thanksgiving belongs.
Our Lord Is Our Salvation
Genesis 48-50 || As we come to end of Genesis, we reflect on Joseph's words: that what his brothers intended for evil God intended for good. As we recognize our salvation in Jesus Christ, we too recognize that God will work out all things for good of those who are his. And, knowing that God is on our side, we step out in faith, in obedience, to do the will of God here and now. I hope that you are encouraged to reflection and action through this message.
God's Promises Are True
Joseph reveals his identity to his brothers, and Jacob moves to Egypt. Part of God's promise to Abraham has come true: his offspring are now living in a land that is not theirs. Soon, the rest of God's promise will occur. But we learn that what God says comes to pass, His promises are true. Listen as we explore these ideas.
Repentance Changes Us
Repentance is not only about what we think or what we believe. It is about turning, changing, doing something different. As we explore our passages for today, we will be discussing how Reuben and Judah change and how we also need to change. We all need to repent and move towards God.
Wisdom Comes From God
Living a godly, righteous life means knowing how to abandoned our wants, desires, and wisdom for something better: those things of God. Joseph was a man who leaned on the wisdom of God to see him through his life, in the ups and the downs. Today, we look at what does it mean to be wise.
Humble Yourself or Be Humbled
Judah's encounter with Tamar leads Judah down a path to humility. Listen as we see how humility was fully fulfilled in Christ Jesus and how we then need to be humble in our walk.
