Great podcast

I've been listening since episode 25 was released, but the episode with Wendy Mays really bothered me. She danced around questions whenever Paula asked about actual numbers (how she cut her grocery bill as an example), and seemed like she was trying to have us all feel bad for her because of the choices she made in her own life.

Overall Paula is an excellent host and it's fun to hear her use her journalism background to ask thought provoking questions and she usually has different and interesting guests

Knows Her Listener - is Changing with Them

Paula is a really savvy interviewer who understands her audience very well. She seems to have a constant internal voice that says, ‘How do I drive this conversation to the place where my listeners will get the most value- while also entertaining?’ Her instincts in this regard are really sound, apparently sharpened by her journalistic background and natural wit. Some good editing probably helps too.

It’s clear that Paula is making a bit of a shift from the nuts and bolts personal finance to more self improvement. For most of the audience, this is probably a welcome shift. After all, only so much can be said about the nuts and bolts of FI (in the end it’s not that complicated after all) but a nearly infinite amount can be said about how we become better people. Highly recommend.

Mostly good

Paula is in a class by herself. Very knowledgeable. Saul was very insightful, but you would have to hire him to launch his approach to investing.
