Great Duo

I admit that the first couple of episodes of Mad Dogs and Englishmen I listened to felt like they had odd pacing. But once I got in synch with the flow of conversation, the Charlie and Kevin consistently impressed me. Lubbock intellectual meets Oxford hick-in-the-making would be intriguing enough, but their conversations reflect their writing, and each is first-in-class. The podcasts are also great signaling mechanisms. The most recent episode referenced Charlie’s debate at Kenyon College, available on YouTube. Check it out. In a debate involving college administrators, it’s fascinating that the guy supporting free speech was the guy not associated with the college.
