Insightful reviews
I love this podcast. I listen to it after every episode starting from when this podcast began ( it was midway through the series ). I am currently rewatching the entire series. The commentators are smart and have lots of interesting takes on all the themes and the character arcs . I like that there are male and female perspectives also
Podcast for smart people!
I listened to a couple of other Mad Men podcasts that were so bad it was embarrassing. This one is really insightful and smart. I am hooked. Thank you for being your pretentious selves!
Borderline unlistenable
CONTENT: B+. Fairly smart and insightful commentary and observations, but...
DELIVERY: C+. very clunky presentation. Lots of long pauses and awkward transitions and long droning monotone sentences. Long stretches of zzzzzzz.
MAD MEN KNOWLEDGE: C+. some of the commentators get some basic mad men trivia wrong and also pass on incorrect information, like saying mimi Rogers was married to George clooney, when it was talia balsam
TECHNICAL QUALITY: D-. one of the lowest quality podcasts I've ever listen to. Almost every speaker is recorded at a different audio level, some of them barely audible while others are blaring into the mic. There is a lot of background noise as well as persistent static in many of the podcasts. At least three or four times each podcast I'm tempted to turn it off
