EVERYONE READ THIS REVIEW

I was listening for awhile and really loved the relatable stories!!! UNTIL- I listened to the episode on how to be good mamas to Mother Earth. I’m thoroughly disappointed. I’m a farmer in small town Wisconsin. And I work closely with reading pesticide labels and following the rules of the EPA (environmental protection agency). The “facts” you 2 and your guest are false. I’m thoroughly disappointed and won’t be listening anymore. Your facts are wrong and I’m organic products aren’t healthier. In fact, the chemicals they use on organic crops are more dangerous because they aren’t regulated by the EPA!! application of these chemicals to your organic crops have to be done wearing a full hazmat suite, whereas when applying conventional chemicals you don’t have to wear that full suite. Explain that? Chemicals have a strict phi (pre harvest interval) that cannot be debated. This means, you have to wait x amount of days before you harvest the crop for human consumption + a few more for extra safety. So no, there’s not pesticides on your fruits and veggies when you buy them. Also- there ARE NOT hormones in conventional milk when you buy it. Rbst is hardly even used anymore (this is the hormone you’re talking about). So you do not need to buy organic milk if you think all the other milk has hormones in it. I could write a book to you ladies about the things that you said in this podcast that were flat out wrong. The sad thing is is that your listeners are going to believe everything you say!!!! I’d urge you guys to visit a real farm. Farmers this day in age are more educated than you think. Heck come to WI and visit my farm if you want! I’d love to answer all your questions!! The last thing I have to say is answering one of your questions in the podcast. One of you was wondering why your friend was buying organic milk/food. Ill give you a great reason!- it’s not sustainable. TRUE organic living by everyone would never work. There wouldn’t be enough land to produce the amount of food that’s needed in our world to feed everyone. Which is interesting- because this podcast is essentially about sustainability. You did a great job on all the other topics- except when it came down to the organic food. With daily increase in population- farmers continue to have less and less land to produce food on (hello pop up metros and cities) and a higher demand to produce more food on that diminishing amount of land, and guess what, they are doing it! With the help of ground breaking science and technology. GMOs- which are also safe for you to consume btw. So if you truly want to b sustainable and care about Mother Earth- don’t tell everyone to eat organic, if that were to happen, we’d run out of food REAL quick. Organic crops yield incredibly less than conventional (giving us less food) because weeds and insects that can’t be controlled take over the crop and don’t allow it to flourish. I’d also urge you ladies to do your own research on organic since you think it’s so healthy. Look up some of those organic chemicals that you’re allowing your kids to come in contact with once. I’m sorry we had to meet this way- but it had to be said.
