*Bonus* Rewind of Episode 018: How To Plan For The Financial Future You Want

*Bonus* Rewind of Episode 018: How To Plan For The Financial Future You Want

On today’s episode we talk about how to plan for the financial future you want.  First we talk about short, near, and long term financial plans. Just looking at this year alone, I saw everyday things that will cost money and I didn’t even do any hard digging to come up with those!
Once we get past this year and start looking a little further out, we see what major purchases we need to make and if we are financially prepared for them.
We talk about moving past the foundational stuff of getting “a hold of” our income and expenses and then we discuss how we can do some preliminary estate planning.
Nothing complicated, we just take one step of checking our bank accounts to see if we have payable-on-death beneficiaries on our accounts.
We talk a little about life insurance policies and if they are sufficient for our family’s needs.
Then we end by thinking about the financial legacy we want to leave behind.

037: Why I have 13 Different Bank Accounts

037: Why I have 13 Different Bank Accounts

On today’s episode, we talk about the reason why I have 13 different bank accounts! And the main reason is because the automation makes my life super-duper easy!

I am a person who is drawn to systems. I believe that anyone can accomplish anything as long as there is a system.

So, my 13 bank accounts represent a systematic way of organizing my money so that my financial life runs easily and smoothly without any complications.

I do not have to waste my brain power thinking about my money--I can use that brain power for other, more important things.

So listen up and hear how each account makes sense in my life!

*Bonus* Re-wind of Episode 026: Budgeting Your Way To Financial Freedom

*Bonus* Re-wind of Episode 026: Budgeting Your Way To Financial Freedom

In this episode, we are talking about budgeting your way to financial freedom.  And I ask the question:
“If you do not budget your money, how do you account for your money?”
And I ask this question because some people do not believe in using budgets (and that’s okay)!
But I remember, when I wanted to get my life allll the way together---the first thing that I did was sit down and do a budget.
And with the current economic troubles, I think everyone should consider using a budget to take stock of your personal financial situation.
So let’s dig into the 7 quick steps of an easy budget!

Engaging and informative!

At first the title didn’t grab me but then I started listening and WOW! Gwendolyn is so engaging and I PRAY she delves more into her military service (second podcast perhaps??)! I love how she approaches common sense subjects with a friend’s touch (like the dreaded “b” word haha)! I was so inspired that I actually PASSED on getting take it today (that’s a big deal for me). Listen, learn, and you’ll love this show! It’s too late for me to retire at 40 but I hope to share this podcast with my daughter and she’ll start making good financial decisions.
