#075: We loved chatting with Bob and Linda. They were so generous with their time and wisdom, and we hope you enjoy the conversation.

PS: Please forgive our echo-ey audio... our options for recording were the reverberations of an empty house or rain pounding on the RV roof. #movingproblems

Nick and Hanna Walk the Walk of Money Working for You!

I have been a private client of Mapped Out Money for over two years.Nick has allowed me to determine my values, how to budget properly for those values and how to keep moving in the direction of a life that is true to me. I just finished listening to Nick and Hanna’s podcast #73 titled We’re Moving Again… I am only more confident working with them after listening. They talked about their concerns of what people might think of the fact they’re moving and the scenic route they took after buying a house only 14 months ago and now selling it. How in some ways it’s a failure. But I don’t see that at all. I see them walking the walk. There are no mistakes and there is no waste. Most of the doors that have closed to me or that I closed myself have opened better doors I was meant to walk through. Also, most people who make critical comments, in my experience, have their own issues to work out, so daring choices, for whatever reason, threaten them. Muting out other voices to live a life that is best for me has been a key thing I’ve had to constantly practice. Not easy, but worth it. I see Nick and Hanna putting into action everything that they’ve been teaching me. That we have the right to change our mind based on new information. That as we grow and change, our decisions, priorities, even certain values may as well. That there will always be unforeseen circumstances that might influence things, too. By managing money properly, we are able to pivot under any of this and not feel trapped. Our money works for us and the lives we want to build, including lives that change directions if need or desire dictate that. Listening to that episode inspired me. I’ve been living in France for two years now, a dream come true! That said, I’m not sure if it’s my forever home yet and I’ve had discussions about that with Nick. I’ll never regret making this decision and we will see how it unfolds. But I should not feel trapped to stay in it forever if I decide to go another way. Watching Nick and Hanna walk through this new change in their life gives me the freedom to know I can make a similar change one day if I decide that by following their money principles. They honestly are the real deal for anyone looking to build a life they want as opposed to a life they feel was forced upon them, you can’t go wrong by working with them! Thanks Nick and Hanna, and here’s to your next exciting chapter!!
