María Hinojosa: One-on-One is a provocative series of interviews with America's leading artists, writers, journalists, and educators as well as political and civic leaders. The series casts a wide net—with an eye toward diversity—as it seeks out guests and themes that enlighten, entertain and challenge television viewers, Web visitors, and users of mobile media. In addition to hosting One-on-One, Hinojosa is the managing editor and host of public radio's Latino USA, and the senior correspondent for the PBS newsmagazine NOW. She has won many awards, including the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, the New York Society of Professional Journalists Deadline Award, the Associated Press Award, and the Ruben Salazar Communications Award. María Hinojosa: One-on-One is a production of La Plaza.
