Mariela Romero, talks about Cultural Mastery, joins us to share her insights on creating bridges between communities and fostering inclusion and equity. Mariela is a multilingual, passionate journalist, writer, producer, and public relations professional with over 30 years in broadcasting. – with a focus on empowering communities. In this powerful talk, she shares how we can all work to create more equitable and inclusive societies.  

Thanks to her exceptional skill set for creating content, she has received 27 Emmy Awards from the Academy of Television Arts – Southeast region.  Furthermore, the Latin American Association recognized her with the prestigious Olga C. de Goizueta award in 2019.   

In 2020 Mariela Romero joined the National Juvenile Defender Center board, now The Gault Center, and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C.; she is also an Emeritus board member of the Community Foundation of North Georgia.  

In 2021 the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce inducted her into the Most Influential Latinos Hall of Fame.
