    Shane Sibert

We sit down with top tier knifemaker Shane Sibert and talk knives and knifemaking.  Shane's journey and his knifemaking process is a little different than some others, but without question he's one of the modern greats and the knives that come out of his relatively basic shop are truly outstanding.  Find us at our Patreon and follow us on Instagram @markofthemaker or join our discussion group on Facebook for more conversation.

    Dr. Jim Lucie

Those of you familiar with the Scagel story (and our podcast on the topic) will also be familiar with the book Scagel Handmade, written by Dr. James Lucie.  Dr. Lucie was not only the worlds foremost collector and expert on Scagel knives, but a truly interesting person and knifemaker in his own right.   His daughter Stephanie Lucie joins us to help tell her father's story and we walk together through her book "Dr. Jim Lucie: A Bladesmith's Life & Legacy."  We hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did!

My New Favorite Podcast

Couldn’t really get into podcasts for the longest time, finally found one that I can’t stop listening to. Great for information as a new maker in my early 20’s and also highly entertaining. Not great for my wallet, ordered a Randall and a Hinderer in O1 since I’ve started listening LOL
