A podcast with an honest and open look at running, fitness and all things health-related with a bit of humor thrown in.
Be Thankful for Running Every Day!
#150 - Last week we celebrated Thanksgiving. And with Thanksgiving, we are reminded by nearly every running magazine and website why we should be thankful for running. But why do we see these just one day a year? I propose that we should be thankful every day of the year for our favorite sport! I give you lots of reasons to be thankful for running on a daily basis. I'm sure you can think of some of your own!
I also talk a bit about my first walked 5k since my surgery!
For all the information from the episode, please visit: www.martharunstheworld.com if you want to submit a race report for a future episode, please send me your name, the race name, date, distance, a picture and what made the race so great to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Jon Lu and the Pacific Crest Trail!
#149 - Have you ever dreamed of starting an epic journey? Maybe one that takes months to complete? John Lu did just that. He thru hiked the Pacific Crest Trail this year and he's here to talk about it. If you want something BIG to add to your bucket list, this might be it. John captured it all on his YouTube channel and talks about it this week. You don't want to miss it!
All the details are on the website: www.martharunstheworld.com If you have a race report you want to send, I'll include it in a future Tales of the Trail. Email me at: email@example.com
Louise Valentine - Badass Breakthrough Academy!
#148 - Louise Valentine has spent most of her life learning about fitness, physiology and what makes the human body move. when she came across tough challenges, she figured out how to get past them through hard work and problem solving. She started her own fitness program Badass Breakthrough Academy for runners and today, talks about that as well as the difficult health challenges she overcame and her life as a military spouse. She is one amazing athlete and I know you will think so too!

Odds & Ends
#147 - After nearly three years, I figured it was time for an episode that included a few little subjects. None of these have enough substance to stand in an episode on their own, so I grouped them together in what will be the first Odds & Ends episode. This one includes runners who look for medical advice from non-medical people online, comparing ourselves to others, the lack of free race coverage online, and a couple others. If there is a subject you would like to see talked about on the show, please contact me.
All information talked about today, can be found on the website at: www.martharunstheworld.com if you want to contact me regarding this week's episode, or if you want to send me a race report, please email me at: email@example.com
Post Surgery - I'm Walking!
#146 - This week is an update to my pre surgery update. I go over what happened right before I checked into the hospital, as well as what happened during my lovely stay there and how I'm progressing. The CPMC hospital I was at is top notch and did an incredible job!
Don't miss Tales of the Trail, where I give the results for the Quicksilver 100k, as well as some other news in the world of running this week.
For all information discussed on the show, please visit the website: www.martharunstheworld.com if you have a race report you'd love to send to me, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Haunted Running Trails - Yosemite!
#145 - In this year's Haunted Running Trails Halloween episode, I focus specifically on Yosemite. There's plenty of haunted tales and legends to fill up an entire show! Yosemite is an incredible place to visit. It's the perfect place to get away from the city, to camp, to hike, trail run and just to explore the majesty of nature.
But there is lots of history there as well. The Miwok Native Americans have tales I share, as well as other stories that have been passed along through the ages.
All the links for for the show are on the website: www.martharunstheworld.com if you have any questions or want to send me a race report, please do! Tales on the Trail will return next week! Send your stories to: email@example.com
