    Why you are Stuck!

    Why you are Stuck!

"Would you agree or disagree that you are being held back from something because of the way that you're currently thinking, because of that operating system that you're currently operating under? And when I say operating system, I want you to think about a cell phone. And when you have your cell phone, like my son would always say, Mom, you've got so many apps open and he would take it and slide him up or to close down. Right. So it's kind of the same thing with our conscious mind in our subconscious mind. We're subconsciously we have these stories and these beliefs that we're continuously tapping into because they're running in the background, because we haven't really tuned in to really listen and hear what it is that we're telling ourself."
In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I am sharing a live that I did as part of my 3 day series called "Hormones 101". This particular episode is day 3 where I talk about your thoughts, thinking, and belief systems that are keeping you stuck.
Some of the issues covered in the episode are:
*Your view of the world and how that is affecting your current reality.

*How most of your belief systems were created.
*How generational stories don't have to be your truth.

Neurotransmitters - Are they Affecting your Goals?

Neurotransmitters - Are they Affecting your Goals?

"When doing certain things Dopamine is released and your brain is expecting a reward. And when you come to associate a certain activity with pleasure, mere anticipation may be enough to just raise those dopamine levels."
In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I am sharing a live that I did as part of my 3 day series called "Hormones 101". This particular episode is day 2 where I talk about neurotransmitters.
In this episode I talk about all things neurotransmitters! Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers in the brain that control breathing, digestion, and heart. Even mood, motivation, and sleep quality.

    The Hormonal Hierarchy

    The Hormonal Hierarchy

I'm here to tell you that that there are a lot of things that are not being considered in your weight loss journey. I want you to remember that you are not doing anything wrong, you just might not be doing the right thing at the right time, or you may not be focusing on the right thing that you need RIGHT NOW. So what's the secret here? So the secret to weight loss success most of the time is hormonal balance.
In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I am sharing a live that I did as part of my 3 day series called "Hormones 101". This particular episode is day 1.
In this episode we talk all things metabolism, what works and what doesn't, the Hypothalamus, Pituitary, and Adrenal Glands and why what you THINK is the answer to a healthy metabolism is actually hindering your results. As well as the hormones that matter the most such as Insulin, Leptin, and Cortisol.
Some of the issues covered in the episode are:
Problem - Hungry all the. time - Leptin hormone could be the issue - leptin is created by fat cells in the body
Problem - Can't sleep (insomnia) - potential cortisol issue - so look at lifestyle habits  on how to reduce stress - or could also be a progesterone issue - get levels checked
Problem - Can't lose weight - stress  too high cortisol issue - could be being brought on by the lifestyle stressors I had mentioned such as not eating enough, not sleeping enough, too much exercise, etc / could also possibly be an insulin issue - body could be less insulin sensitive than it once was.

    Metabolic Pre-Hab

    Metabolic Pre-Hab

The internal workings of the metabolism can also be damaged over time. And when I say damaged, it's it's a word that gets thrown around a lot. I don't mean damaged, like broken. I just mean, worn down.
In this episode of Master Your Mindset and Metabolism, I want to share one of my favorite friends and mentor, Dr. Jade Teta.
In this episode we talk all things metabolism, what works and what doesn't, the Hypothalamus, Pituitary, and Adrenal Glands and why what you THINK is the answer to a healthy metabolism is actually hindering your results.
    Some tips from the episode:
If you have fragmented, disrupted sleep, and you're not able to sleep. That is a key sort of insight that you are having too much stress on the system.

Hunger, excess hunger and excess cravings. This is another indication that the system is stressed out.

Isn't it interesting that the overnighter and the couch potato both have hunger and cravings constantly? They tend to suffer from those two things energy levels, obviously, right, as the metabolism is all about keeping energy levels stable.

So when your energy is unpredictable and volatile, that's a good indication. Also, things like exercise performance and exercise recovery. If you do a workout, you're completely wiped out where you can't get through a workout. This is an example of a stress parameter that is overwhelmed. And then one of the things that's most important for women particularly has to do with libido and menstrual cycle. How I lost 10lbs Doing a Gut Restoration

How I lost 10lbs Doing a Gut Restoration

"After a couple of weeks, I was just feeling better. My stomach felt better, I didn't have pressure, bloating, gas, like the inconsistencies with my bowels as far as being constipated or having diarrhea, I know lots of TMI here, but let's face it, this shit is not sexy, but this is real life. And I know a lot of you are suffering from that."
In today's episode I share my recent experience with following a 30 day gut restoration and how I lost 10lbs during the process.
Some of the topics I talk about are:
Stomach acid and how it reduces as we get older. How restoring your gut reduces inflammation. The main causes of a leaky gut.

As mentioned in the episode I had said I would post pictures.

The Power Of Breaking the Cycle

The Power Of Breaking the Cycle

"I want to share with the audience that we we are conditioned. There are things that we have seen and heard while we were very young and in a very influential time in our life; many of our beliefs just became this program that we had taken on from generations prior."
In today's episode I have the most amazing conversation with my dear friend, and client, Debra Wilkins. We have a great conversation about her life experiences as an African American women. I am so grateful for her speaking up about them because I believe we all need to have a greater awareness of what is truly going on...and has been for years.
Some of the topics we talk about are:
The truth that we as young children are at an extremely influential age, and what we take on as truth, isn't necessarily ours to own.    Generating awareness within yourself and others is crucial. You have the ability to break the cycle.                                     If you enjoyed this episode with me, screenshot the episode and tag me on your stories with your biggest takeaway - @kellyadunlap
