Mister Dave 2 U
Really enjoyed hanging out with the guys and hearing their take on the series. For whatever reason their voices and banter reminded me of the DVD commentaries by Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. The "we're not experts" disclaimer was more of a plus than a minus for me. Keep up the good work!
Little historic substance
I was hoping for serious historic insight by the presenters. They don’t seem to have done much homework which would’ve enriched the historical significance of this period. A big disappointment when this was such an epic era meted out by such ill prepared presenters.
Enjoying Your Rapport
Just happened to find this podcast yesterday, while looking for more information and commentary on the “Masters Of The Air” miniseries. Very much enjoying your reactions to the show, and have listened to all 3 episodes so far, plus the episode you did on the 1990 movie “Memphis Belle” - that was a great addition! Also, as an American, I’m interested in your take on the English RAF flyers (and their accents! LOL - that was fun!) Mostly, I appreciate being able to learn more about this important period in history, and that you bring both levity and seriousness to your comments. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and thank you for continuing with your Masters Of The Air podcast. (Just FYI - re: ep 3, according to my subtitles, Major Clevin said he didn’t want to spend the war in a *stalag* - I think you thought he said something about Stalin??)
(Edit: It was a great idea to mention the movie “The Great Escape”, especially in regards to episode 7. I’m curious to know if either of you have seen Billy Wilder’s film “Stalag 17,” starring William Holden? That might also be a good one to watch …)
Thanks guys - appreciate your work!
