Matthew Marcoux - Don't spend time, INVEST in Time‪!‬ The Quarterback DadCast

    • Self-Improvement

As you've seen, Season 3 is dedicated to my father, Mike Jacox, who passed away late in 2021. I Love and miss you, Dad.

Thank you, Patrick Sirmeyer and John Kennedy, for making today's episode possible as we welcome our next guest, Matthew Marcoux, to the show!     Matthew is a co-founder of CandorPath Financial, where they believe transparency is the future of financial advising.  At CandorPath Financial, they believe the road to financial freedom is paved with realistic information, clear communication, and proactive behavior shared within a close client-advisor relationship.

In this episode, you will hear about Matthew's two boys, ages 8 and 5, as well as the beautiful wife, Lauren.    Matthew shares his story of growing up with parents who divorced when he was young as an only child.  His mom was an educator, and his father was medically discharged from the military and would become his best friend later in life.    Matthew shares the vulnerable story of losing his father, which hits home for me, given the loss of my dad in late 2021.   Unfortunately, we also share a common challenge with bad backs as we are getting older in life....no fun!  Thanks to his Peloton, he is doing great!

One of the golden nuggets Matthew shares with us is that we must not just spend time with our family but invest time with them.  He also talked about the power of apologizing when we are wrong through a personal and vulnerable story shared between him and his oldest son.  #powerful.  He shares why we must have an open mind and be open to embracing change!
