    The Wise Leader

    The Wise Leader

This week, we’re talking about a word that often comes to mind when we think of leadership. And that word is “wisdom.” As Sandra Carey says, “Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life.” So, in today’s lesson, John Maxwell is going to share his own thoughts on wisdom, and what it really means to be a wise leader. Plus, he also shares some thoughts on wisdom from Benjamin Franklin.
Once, John is done with his lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede discuss John’s lesson, the role that wisdom plays in their leadership, and what it truly looks like to “live skillfully.”

    We Is Better than Me

    We Is Better than Me

John Maxwell says that 1 is too small of a number to achieve greatness, and he’s absolutely right. If you want to achieve anything big, you need others. That’s where the power of teams lies. This week we’re talking about how we is better than me.
In this lesson, John Maxwell shares 6 reasons why team effort is superior to individual effort. Some of these may seem obvious to you, but others may be newer and more challenging. That’s why, after John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Becky Bursell will help you navigate John’s lesson and how to apply it to your own leadership.

    The Leadership Loop

    The Leadership Loop

Many leaders think that leadership flows in one direct: from top to bottom. But if leadership is influence––nothing more, nothing less––then leadership can flow from bottom to top and from side to side. That’s called leading across. Leading across means leading your colleagues, your peers––people you don’t have positional leadership over. In today’s lesson, John Maxwell is going to teach the 7 phases of the leadership loop, which every leader who wishes to lead across must embrace.
After John’s lesson, Mark Cole will be joined by Chris Goede to discuss what they’ve learned as they’ve embraced these principles to lead across within the Maxwell Leadership organization.
Our BONUS resource for this episode is the “Leadership Loop Worksheet,” which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. You can download the worksheet by visiting MaxwellPodcast.com/Loop and clicking “Download the Bonus Resource.”

Equipping Leaders Who Multiply Leaders

This podcast is a must add to anyone’s leadership development growth plan. The gold nuggets of wisdom from John Maxwell alone are worth the investment of time but the real value of this podcast is hearing Mark Cole and “gang” sharing how they learned, lived and led each lesson in their respective spheres of influence and the results. They are vulnerable, authentic and demonstrate what leadership is about: leading by example first then multiplying that example.

Thanks Mark and “Gang” for helping me to grow as a leader and passing it on.
