Welcome to 2024! In their first episode of the new year, host Kaveh Jalinous and Cortlyn Kelly take the time to catch up on everything related to cinema that they haven't talked about yet. In the process, they briefly discuss the Golden Globes before moving on to the films dropped into theaters this January–notably, the Mean Girls (musical) remake. Then, they discuss the 2023 Oscar nominations, highlighting the snubs and surprises among the Academy's lists.
