MPP71 Safron Rossi PhD: Archetypal Astrology

MPP71 Safron Rossi PhD: Archetypal Astrology

Safron Rossi, Ph.D., has spent her life steeped in literature, religion and mythology, fields in which she holds her degrees. Her writing and scholarly studies focus on archetypal psychology, astrology, alchemy, goddess traditions, and Greek myth. She is a member of the core faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute in the Jungian and Archetypal Studies program. She is also an archetypal psychological astrologer.

Addendum: At one point toward the end of the interview, I mention that it's Tuesday and Mercury's Day. Of course, Tuesday is Mars' Day (Mardi in French). I'll chalk it up to that old Trickster Mercury trying to force his way into the conversation and making me look like a fool. Thank you Hermes, you wing-footed bastard for keeping me humble :-)

New listener - loving it

I’m not even sure how I found this podcast, but in the last two days, I’ve loved every single episode I’ve listened to. Brian is wise, humble, and articulate. He’s a great interviewer and I find he brings as much to the conversations as his guests do. More often than not I’m both surprised and grateful for his questions. He’s a smart guy. This podcast is a definite keeper.

Yoga is connection

Up until Brian interviewed me, I was not a podcast subscriber or listener. The world is noisy, and I appreciate silence these days while driving, cooking and cleaning, etc. His warm hearted approach as a fellow practitioner and teacher during our conversation initiated a curious shift for me, and I just listened to my first podcast, Making Yoga Accessible. As a long-time teacher functioning within a paradigm we all agree is far from inclusive and excludes most of the populations that can benefit from yoga, this conversation hit the spot. Teaching in a way that honors all the parameters of who is in front of us while enjoying a good standard of living is an uphill trek, but I felt inspired and called to creative action via this listen. Whether you’re a student or teacher, just starting or in it for years, I trust that Brian’s experience as a man, a human and a guide will leave your heart smiling and your mind opening. 🙏🏽
