Melanie MacGillivray on marketing the global success story SWEAT from the Barossa Valley Adelaide Connected

Melanie MacGillivray is the Brand Partnership Manager for Sweat based out of Adelaide, Australia.  Sweat is subscription fitness app and digital platform, empowering the world’s largest female fitness community.
 
Melanie re-located to South Australia from the United States last April with her husband and young daughter.  Prior to moving to South Australia, Melanie had an extensive career within the sports industry, specifically soccer.  While living in New York City, she worked for the US professional soccer league Major League Soccer (MLS) where she oversaw business operations and marketing for major international soccer events staged in major markets across the US.  From that role, she transitioned to leading global distribution of media rights for the League for all markets outside of the US and Canada.  
 
Following her stint at MLS, Melanie was appointed Head of Americas for Bundesliga International which serves as the media / marketing arm for the Bundesliga (Germany’s top professional soccer league) in international priority markets.  In this role, she led business operations, commercial and marketing strategy fort the League across the Americas.  
 
While Melanie is still fairly new to South Australia, she has already adopted a love for its beautiful food and wine culture, secluded beaches and comfortable city living.  She is enjoying the slower pace of life in regional South Australia, as she resides full-time in the Barossa with her family and enjoying a flexible work arrangement.
