Aaaaaaand that's Season One! Thank you to everyone for supporting us along the way. For our season finale, our team has sat down at the Roundtable to discuss episodes 1 through 7 and give our changed opinions, anything we wish we said, and some commentary on recent events (ahem, Mrs. Pinkett Smith). For today's episode, we've decided to dip our toes in the mass of mental health and how it is stigmatized in the black community. From childhood to adulthood, being "emotional" or "depressed" is seen as weak, and external factors are no help. Join as we begin only the start of this overdue conversation.

Nowadays, the meaning of identity and individualism is blurred by high expectations and stereotypes, especially with the presence of social media. Join us as we talk about how to combat today's repetition and ingenuity and our own aspects of identity regarding culture, social media, public presentation, and more.

We're back! After a bit of a break, we've returned with another special guest to give an inside look on the reality of college from past to present - high school and the admissions process, adapting and transitioning to college, and the accompanying issues with navigating life as an adult. With the Class of 2026 admissions season coming to an end, we seemed it to be fitting to talk about the expectations for anyone in need of a reality check. Sit down and enjoy!

Purity culture has always been one of the more damaging concerns when it comes to the stereotype-based binary of gender expectations. Though our generation has often tried to combat it, the subculture has been modernized and still lives on in subtle ways, even today. Sit down as we talk about its historical connotation, secularity vs. the church, and the double standard between men and women. As we near the end of Black History Month, we at the Roundtable have decided to introduce a multipart series in which we speak on the lack of togetherness within the black community; mainly Africans, African Americans, and Caribbeans. The animosity between the groups doesn't sit well with us, so come listen to the Caribbean perspective as we try to come to a middle ground. Stay tuned for the next part!
