Today’s episode: Is about how to defuse arguments. For most of us, arguing is extremely unpleasant and stressful. As we walk through our days, we hope that most of our interactions will be satisfying and free of conflict. Most people get triggered when they become challenged or confronted by others, especially if there is a difference in their opinions. Some people have such a desire, and they are determined to argue no matter what. This could be about almost anything and with anyone, including our most intimate partners, family members, friends, or colleagues. Unsolved arguments weigh heavily, both mentally and physically, on both parties. Sustained arguments can initiate a fight-or-flight response, which can take its toll on both parties immune systems and overall well-being.

Episode 7. Resentment
Today’s episode: Is about Resentment. What is it? Do you have some? Resentment is a negative emotional reaction to being mistreated or wronged by another person. With a mixture of disappointment, disgust, and anger, or as some therapists call it, a mood. It’s a heavy emotion that can be extremely draining on our mind, body, and energy. If we carry around unresolved emotions and judgments for a long period of time, they eventually weigh us down and we are left feeling uncomfortable, irritated, tired, and run down. 95% of our thoughts, emotions, perceptions, and behavioral patterns are unconscious. We are simply not aware of all the old programs and judgments that take our energy and creativity.

Yet, it also serves as a beacon, guiding us towards healing, growth, and transformation. It acts as a compass, pointing us towards our truth, our purpose, our destiny. Embracing pain, we should not fear its presence, instead we should honor it.

The reality of who they really were didn’t match the fantasy of who you wanted them to be. This kind of imbalanced thinking has been the death of many relationships and marriages. I know I’m guilty of it. Been there. More times than I’d care to admit.

It’s important to understand that stress is a feedback mechanism and not something negative that should be avoided at all costs.
