Denise is an artist who has worked in the creative industry for 20 years. She has worked as a graphic designer, writer, art director for global publications, agency project manager, account manager, global design program manager, and creative operations manager. Within recruiting and talent development, she has worked closely with some of the world's most successful agencies and corporations, helping them source, evaluate, and hire creative talent (Nike, Adidas, McGarrah Jessee, Frog, etc.). She is known for working to build teams, brands, and profits with a mix of positivity, passion, and creativity.
In 2020, Denise returned to school to study nutrition and wellness coaching and graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Following graduation, she dedicated herself to continued learning and building her venture, Worthy and Nourished. For Worthy and Nourished, she served as a wellness coach, developed and facilitated innovative interactive workshops and online courses integrating gamification and out-of-the-box education programs.

A plant-based chat with Kathryn Solie about plant spirit consciousness as teachers for loving, peaceful personal and world transformation,  her work and offerings with poisonous plants and how to begin your own connection practice.

"My name is Kathryn Solie. Many people know me for my work as a "poisonous" plant educator. I feel that at this time my mission is to bring about a greater cultural understanding of certain aspects of plant consciousness, and ultimately help generate a community of unique practitioners in dialogue with one another, learning from and supporting each other, both in commonality and contrast.

I believe that together we can recover the most ancient human lineage - our relationship to the wisdom of the plant kingdom.

I studied painting at Naropa University, a Buddhist-inspired school in Boulder Colorado, did a sacred plant medicine apprenticeship with the Gaia School of Healing in Putney, Vermont, and completed a training in Hakomi, a type of mindfulness based body-centered psychotherapy. Although all of these trainings influence the way I work, they ultimately pale in comparison to what I’ve learned from the plants themselves."
