Here's the 2nd part of the conversation with Bruce Colbert. He's all about men reclaiming their power, acquiring wisdom, and generating good. He has a question: Why is the Church at large lagging in helping men to be better men in their families, homes, and in their spheres of influence?

There is a movement of men today going to “secular” sources for encouragement, coaching, and equipping concerning their masculinity. This includes Christian men. Bruce Colbert sees Kingdom principles in some of these sources.
The question is why does it seem the Church at large is behind the game in helping men to be better men in their families and homes?
And what about their sphere of influence and assignment from the Creator? What can serious Christian men do to be equipped and empowered in a meaningful way?
How Is the Church Failing Men? -- scripture for meditation, prayer, and proclamation:
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion ..." Genesis 1:26-28 ESV
And have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. Colossians 3:10 NASB
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 ESV

Stellar quotes on men who follow Christ:

"The most critical need of the church at this moment is men, bold men, free men. The church must seek, in prayer and much humility, the coming again of men made of the stuff of which prophets and martyrs are made."  A.W. Tozer
“Most of what you encounter when you meet a man is a facade, an elaborate fig leaf, a brilliant disguise.”  John Eldredge, Wild at Heart Revised and Updated: Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul
“We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.”  C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
"Discipleship is the process of becoming who Jesus would be if he were you."  Dallas Willard
