Mental Health and Latinos w/ Dr. Toni Rivera Part 2 Conversations from the Green Couch w/ Annette Ortiz Mata

    • Relationships

Dr. Antoinette Gines-Rivera, Dean of the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling at Nyack College in Manhattan,

Dr. Toni, obtained a Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling with a specialization in Counselor Education and Supervision. She also earned a dual master’s degree in Bilingual Education and Bilingual School Psychology from Fordham University in New York City,

Her research study on the counseling needs of the Honduran population was published in an American Counseling Association publication, Counseling Around the World: An International Handbook.

This study led to a passion for counseling Latinos in the USA because of the traditional misconceptions, underrepresentation and limited clinical support that plagues the Latino population here and abroad.

I have asked Dr. Toni to join me on the Green Couch today to discuss - Mental Health Stigma amongst the Latino/Minority community...
