In this episode, Sara Hairgrove, a public health analyst in the Substance Use Prevention, Evaluation, and Research Program at RTI International, talks with Dr. Elizabeth D’Amico, Senior Behavioral Scientist at RAND Corporation, and Dr. Maureen Walton, Professor and the Associate Chair for Research and Research Faculty Development in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan, about the research they are currently conducting, their unique experiences that led them to prevention science, the influence of mentors on their careers, and the opportunities they've had to serve as mentors to others. They discuss their passion for being mentors and the  importance of mentoring young researchers and helping them gain confidence and experience.
